Set above Sydney Harbour, the Point Piper Harbour House is defined by openness, light, and a quiet sense of luxury. This extensive renovation of an existing brick dwelling required a carefully considered approach, with Zen developing a custom fixing method to integrate the new steel doors and windows seamlessly within the existing structure.
For this project, Zen supplied 3Lite W40 Solid Swiss Steel Casement Windows, Bifold Doors, and Hinge Doors, specified throughout the residence to create consistency across both interior and exterior spaces. The solid steel profiles introduce strength and definition while maintaining refined sightlines that allow the surrounding outlook and natural light to remain the focus.
The black steel framing provides a crisp counterpoint to the home’s soft palette of stone, timber, plaster, and layered furnishings. Large glazed openings draw light deep into the interiors, while operable bifold and hinge doors create a seamless connection between the home, its courtyards, and the harbour beyond.
Across living spaces and garden-facing rooms, the W40 steel systems reinforce proportion, structure, and visual continuity without overwhelming the architecture. The result is a home where each opening feels deliberate, elegant, and enduring.
At Point Piper Harbour House, Zen steel doors and windows form part of a complete architectural language—enhancing the home’s atmosphere, elevating its materiality, and strengthening its connection to place.
