Payment Terms – Doors & Windows

A 70% deposit is required to process an order, which includes shop drawing design, consultation, and order production. The balance for production completion and shipment is due strictly prior to shipment from our factory overseas.

All our doors/windows are custom made to your specific requirements, so we require the full balance paid prior to shipment. Once your order is completed, our accounts team will contact you with completion images and your outstanding balance. You will have 5 business days to pay the balance, failure to pay the balance within 5 days will result in storage fee’s being added to your balance invoice for every day it's overdue. The storage fees will vary depending on the size of the order.

Door & Window Deposit Refunds – If you proceed with an order by paying the deposit, but you choose to cancel the order for any reason, an administration charge of $1500+gst or 5% of the total order value (whichever is the greater amount) will be deducted from your deposit refund (credit card fees will not be included in the refunded amount). Strictly NO refunds will be accepted after an order has been signed off and put into production. All orders are final at this stage, and we will require the full balance to be paid upon production completion. 

Door & Window Measurements – We are not responsible or liable for your door and window measurements. Please understand the correct door and window opening measurements prior to proceeding with an order and discuss your requirements with a registered builder, installer, or carpenter before proceeding.

Door & Window Shop Drawings – We will create a detailed CAD shop drawing with your order specifications. The CAD shop drawings will need to be signed off by you or your installer prior to manufacturing. We will not be responsible or liable for any incorrect details, measurements or specifications which are signed off on the final shop drawings. Once these are signed off, we will manufacture as per these drawings to the millimetre. It is imperative to make sure these are reviewed by your installers in detail prior to signing off. 

Door & Window Installation – We are not responsible for the installation of our products. We recommend installation be carried out by a qualified carpenter/installer. We will not be held responsible for the incorrect installation of our products and will not be responsible for any changes in door/window openings which do not suit the produced doors/windows on the signed shop drawings. If we refer you to a recommended installer, we will supply the company details via email so you or your builder may liaise with them directly to discuss the site inspection and installation. If there are any issues or concerns regarding the site measure or the installation, you must call the installation company directly and discuss your concerns. 

We will not be responsible for any site measuring or installation works carried out by others. If your door/s and or window/s are installed by others incorrectly and are not functioning as intended, we can recommend a preferred installation company who can come to site to inspect, they will charge a standard callout fee based on your location to ascertain the issue and quote any further works needed. If further installation works are required, the recommended installers will invoice you directly. We are not responsible for the further installation works or liable for any accidental damages caused to the product due to installation by the said company or otherwise.

IMPORTANT NOTE* – Iron & Steel Doors and Windows
All our products are custom made by hand. They can show cosmetic imperfections in the steel, iron, fabrication, welding, and paint which are in the tolerance for imperfections of handmade custom products. Each product is unique, handcrafted and a one off, iron and steel doors can also show signs of bowing in the steel or frame due to rigidity, length and weight of the steel/iron tube and panel during the manufacturing and shipment process. Please take note of this before proceeding with an order. Any major defect outside the allowable tolerance deemed by us, will be rectified by Zen Building Group as per the Warranties for each product.

Injury, Damage or Death

We are NOT responsible or liable for any personal injury, damage or death caused by incorrect installation or improper use of our products.

Delivery to site
Once your order is ready for delivery, we will contact you to arrange delivery. It is imperative that you are prepared to accept delivery as we do not provide storage services. Any costs incurred due to holding at our international freight warehouse will be added to your invoice and must be settled prior to delivery. Extended storage of the products in the wooden crate with foam, plastic, and adhesive on the glass is not recommended and may result in damage and void warranties. You must be present at the specified address during the allocated time slot of your delivery or provide authority to leave the crate/s at the front of the site. Failure to be present to accept delivery or provide authority to leave will result in additional carrier charges for redelivery. Crates will be lowered to a flat, safe location at the front of the site and is at the discretion of the individual driver in consideration of safety. The delivery drivers are unable to position crates in garages, narrow lane ways, or at the back or side of properties. The crates must be fully covered and kept dry to maintain warranty eligibility. Upon unpacking, we strongly advise physically inspecting the products while still in their original packaging. Any defects or damages must be documented through photographs taken at this time. Claims for defects or damages based on photos taken after installation will not be accepted, as acceptance of the products implies acknowledgment of their condition.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Upon carefully unpacking your order, we recommend checking each product for any defects or damage. If any defects or damages are found, photos must be taken whilst the product is still in the original packaging/crate. Photos taken after the product has been installed will not be eligible for any defect or damage claims.
